In this white paper we present a brief survey of the opportunities and challenges facing the development of nuclear fuel cycle facilities in Australia. We selected South Australia (SA) as an example for our analysis, since this state has shown early interest in decarbonizing its power sector and attention towards potential business opportunities related to the nuclear fuel cycle.
