Abstract: This symposium brings together experts working on all aspects of advanced light water reactor (LWR) fuels and structural materials. The emphasis of the invited talks will be on programs that have demonstrated substantial progress and that represent significant potential advances in LWR fuel performance or our understanding of fuel rod behavior. Sessions will cover alternative LWR fuel designs including new fuel forms, geometries, and claddings.
