Nuclear Batteries Shine at Energy Night

MIT Energy Night 2021 spotlight:  Nuclear Batteries Shine at Energy Night

MIT Energy and Climate Club hosted its flagship event, “Energy Night’, October 2021. This year the Nuclear Battery team attended and held an exhibit that featured a 3D model of the Nuclear Battery device. The replica used presented one of the many use cases of Nuclear Batteries through decarbonizing and strengthening the global energy infrastructure using Nuclear Batteries. The group set up and staffed the Nuclear Battery booth and had sleek info cards to distribute to hundreds of attendees, along with a displayed large screen with rolling graphics produced by Carlo Ratti’s group. The team that represented Nuclear Batteries were Claire Gorman (DUSP grad), Isabel Naranjo (NSE grad), Lucy Nester (NSE undergrad), Edward Garcia (NSE grad), and Carmen Sleight (MechE grad).  Prof. Jacopo Buongiorno also contributed by giving a talk on the Nuclear Battery technology.
